Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate shall be responsible for overseeing effective and efficient implementation of ICT policy through proactive needs analysis, systems integration and efficient user support.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Formulate, review and oversee the implementation of the KNTC ICT strategy, policies and procedures
  • Oversee the evaluation, consolidation and facilitating the user needs and system functionality and ensuring that ICT facilities meet these needs
  • Mentor and train new ICT support staff;
  • Develop and implement system administration plans in accordance with the Corporation’s information technology needs
  • Plan, develop and implement the ICT budget, obtaining competitive prices from suppliers where appropriate, to ensure cost effectiveness
  • Manage network and communication systems performance and recommending continuous improvement
  • Manage backups and appropriate storage
  • Manage database and network administration and systems
  • Research and facilitating the installation of new systems
  • Oversee the development and/or acquisition of relevant software
  • Ensure the smooth running of all ICT systems, including anti-virus software, print services and email provision
  • Ensure that software licensing laws are adhered to
  • Ensure the security of data from internal and external attack
  • Provide users with appropriate support and advice
  • Manage crisis situations, which may involve complex technical hardware or software problems;
  • Plans, assigns and monitors work to departmental staff
  • Appraises and evaluates departmental staff
Educational Qualifications and Professional Qualifications
  • A Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or a relevant degree
  • CCNA, MCSE, LAN/WAN Certifications among other ICT Certifications
Working Experience
  • At least five (5) years experience in ICT field with at least one (1) year at supervisory level
