Reporting to the Head – E-Channels and E-Commerce, the role holder will be responsible for internet banking propositions and will lead the ideation, conceptualization, management and enhancement of internet banking strategy, programs, initiatives, research and projects.

Specifically, the successful jobholder will be required to:
  • Lead in new product development and implementation i.e. the conceptualization of new ideas, researching, and evaluating them objectively from a market and financial standpoint.
  • Manage the entire development process from conceptualization, design, delivery, launch and return on investment.
  • Promote product awareness via appropriate internal training and marketing as well as ensuring overall attainment of all cash management sales target.

To work in team responsible for data capture, data quality and data analysis routines as part of a routine clinical surveillance/quality improvement project and a multicentre randomized controlled trial taking place in a number of hospitals in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. The incumbent will be responsible for continued development of a set of analysis scripts using R that can be applied to data collected from hospitals and turning the raw data into informative visualizations. This work will be conducted with a larger group of analysts to provide hospitals with regular reports on their patient populations and quality of health care services. The post will require someone with skills in programming in R, some experience with web-based graphic libraries, conversant with the LINUX operating system as well as data management skills who is a good team player. Some support for data management and optimising operating environments is also anticipated.

BUDGET AND RESOURCE RESPONSIBILITY:  Some responsibility for ICT hardware maintenance to support data collection and planning for updates / additions

Reporting to the Chief Internal Auditor, the Information Systems auditor (IS) is responsible for execution of internal audits covering all aspects of business process; assessing risks on information systems, business operations and evaluating internal controls to provide an independent appraisal of internal control environment across the Group. It is expected that this position will include responsibility for the execution of complex audit projects in accordance with plan. Work performed will include coverage of functional and operating units. The focus will be on information systems, operational processes, credit and departmental audits.

The Role
Specifically, the successful jobholder will be required to:
  • Utilize extensive understanding of business activities to recommend scope and objectives of assigned audits, execute audit procedures, perform detailed analyses, reach sound conclusions, and document results for assigned audit activities.

APHRC, under the Population Dynamics, Sexual and Reproductive Health Program seeks to recruit a Data Analyst intern for a period of 6 months. The Internship will provide an opportunity to gain practical work experience related to their academic background and in-depth understanding on management and analysis of longitudinal, cross-sectional and intervention data.

  • Data cleaning including doing all required consistency checks
  • Document data sets according to the APHRC guidelines on data documentation, archiving and sharing
  • Develop template syntax files for research staff to use in creating various data sets, and
